Girondins monument

Not a lot of people know this, and I am risking a great deal by sharing the secret with you, but the Girondins monument has a hidden meaning. (Maybe that's why it was hidden so well during the Nazi occupation that it wasn't found again till the mid-50s.)

Anyway, the hidden meaning is a culinary secret - when cooking horse with cabbage it is important to keep the cabbage moist during cooking, but above all (and see the power of the imagery) to add a large sprig of bay leaves. Posted by Picasa

Thanks for this Alan. It explains a lot! As I was scroling down I came across the photo of the reflecting bay leaved chap and had began to wonder if the rumours abut your mental state were true, as it made no sense at all!

However, the rumours about my mental state are understated.
