England's (and Wales') green and pleasant land

Oh, I tell you, it's breathtaking. I drove from Bath to Trowbridge on Sunday morning and passed through narrow little valleys, over the canal, past cottages with masses of wisteria, it was beautiful.

Then today coming from Cambridge to Newtown - Powys is just lovely. Dumpy hills and little bridges, level crossings and lovely trees. It's a pleasure to drive through it.

And I was listening to Iestyn Davies singing Handel at the Gregynog Festival. Nice !
