Bordeaux rain

Bordeaux people are like snails. They live in the wet and come out when it rains. That's the saying that one of our lecturers shared with us today.

Today it has rained pretty well all day. Sometimes it has drizzled. Sometimes it has emptied down. Once or twice it has hailed. At the moment it is windy, too.

And the DEFLE has a most weird roof - it has internal gutters. I jest not. When the rain is trickling down water flows under the lantern thing in the middle, collects in the girders, runs down the columns and into drains in the floor (covered with plywood so nobody breaks their ankle). When the rain is pouring down it cascades through the roof and into the girders.

Still, the Americans assure me that 18° is forecast for Monday.

Fahrenheit or centigrade? It matters.
