Déménagement

Well, the removal men arrived good and early - 8h15! We were ready for them, though, and they worked very solidly till lunchtime - 11h30. It's now 3h00 and the afternoon has just begun, but they have almost fnished. Just boxes of books from the garage - computer, printer, stuff, and then it's goodbye till Thursday.

Interesting, just saw you (briefly) appear on MSN - thought the move might have been cancelled but you'd disappeared by the time I'd opened MSN.

They finished by about 4h15. Good workers, fair play. The older chap among them had a lovely old Citroën XM, which was experiencing hydraulics problems (i.e. suspension, braking, steering, almost everything) because of a leaky hose.

Alan, a little circumspection please, we people who own (and love) our Citroen XMs are not OLD but mature - as can be quite clearly demonstrated by our choice of car. (However, it is almost true to say that as soon as a light bulb blows, the car grinds to a halt; it's all electronics or, as the other gent will tell you, hydraulics.) However, leaky hoses, though they leave an awful mess on the floor and cost a fortune in LHM highfrolic fluid, are one of the easier and less expensive matters for a garage to remedy.

Mind you, Jeremy Clarkson hates them, which is a good enough reason for me to have one!
