Civilisation exam over

Four questions, based on an interview from Sud-Ouest, about commerce, globalisation and language. Third question a killer. Why? Because it simply asked "How is the francophonie constituted".

It's in our notes but I couldn't remember AT ALL! Neither, apparently, could anyone else.

That's what you get for spending Saturday on a literature outing, Monday on a church outing and Monday evening doing your literature project!

The other questions were OK.

Tomorrow contemporary literature. That'll probably be OK.

That's a really good question.

At present, none of it. You can come and live in France knowing no French and knowing next to nothing about the country. And many do.

But the government is discussing the "Immigration and integration bill", which will require immigrants to learn French and the values of the republic.

They may not apply that to Brits, becase of Europe. We aren't really foreign, being European.
