Franglais

Today, just before the church future meeting, Gwilym came running up.

He said, "In the meeting do we have to rest inside?"

"No, you can play outside as long as you're sage."

rester - stay

sage - wise, careful, sensible

Ah, the marks of true bilingualism, or are you now trilingual! Mae Mrs Probert yn dweud 'Tres bien' - I think. My French is virtually non existent. It was interesting to listen to someone speak of a forth coming trip abroad. 'Unfortunately, they don't speak English'. That says it all about the attitude of the Brits, generally. It should be 'Unfortunately I don't speak their language'!
31st May seems to be a good day for exams! It's already in my diary for someone else.
