We can't go on like this

I plan to have a meeting with the headmistress of Catrin's school, to ask her to excuse Catrin from a certain subject (the teacher picks on her) and to put Catrin back amongst her own age-group at least part-time so she can make friends.

Catrin is having stress headaches and nausea on the days she has that class. She's 8. She always protests that it isn't the school and it isn't her classes, but we are not stupid. She's ill on Tuesdays and Fridays, you know?

I am ashamed of letting it go on so long.

No more.

Today the kids and I were talking about the lecturers at DEFLE and those who are sometimes "mean". (Of course, they are not really, but it was a useful device.) I said "Are there any mean teachers in your school?" Catrin said, "Only xxxxxxx. I am her punching bag."
