The technicien cometh...

not.

I was in some doubt as to whether the technicien would come or not because when I phoned Wanadoo to cancel the visit the lady said I would have to ring France Telecom on 1013 and cancel it with them.

"Roger. Wilco." quoth I.

So I rang France Telecom on 1013 and asked them to cancel the technicien's visit. "Nothing to do with me", came the joyful repost, "You must ring Wanadoo and cancel."

Aha! Ping-pong! Been here before, sometimes for days! But when I said that I had just got off the phone from Wanadoo and they had told me to ring FT, she said she'd sort it out.

Jolly good! And as far as I know the technicien didn't come....

The Kitchen

 Our new apartment will be equipped with toilet and bathroom etc. but not with anything at all in the kitchen. Not even a sink. So we need to purchase a kitchen and engage a kitchen fitter. A friend who knows how to fit kitchens suggested buying an Ikea kitchen. "They're guaranteed twenty years and they honour their guarantee", he said. "I've proved it". Well I don't know any other kitchen laces in France, and I can't imagine there's much that's cheaper than Ikea, so I was happy to accept his advice.
