The house at Haut-Brion

This is the house at Haut-Brion.

It is not without drawbacks. No garden (well, a tiny patch in the front). Newly built and poorly finished. You don't want to practice the tango on that balcony. It gives alarmingly.

But it is well placed and plenty big enough.

They're going for it.

Oui.

Une famille de notre mission qui vient étudier le français au DEFLE (Bordeaux III) en route du Cote d'Ivoire.

Elle va passer peut-être deux ans en France si la situation au Cote d'Ivoire est suffisament paisible pour que la famille s'installe là-bas.

The situation is a little more complex than I had first understood, because the schools vary in the rigidity of their organisation: the most, the conservatoires, next the municipals, then the associations. The Kitchen

 Our new apartment will be equipped with toilet and bathroom etc. but not with anything at all in the kitchen. Not even a sink. So we need to purchase a kitchen and engage a kitchen fitter. A friend who knows how to fit kitchens suggested buying an Ikea kitchen. "They're guaranteed twenty years and they honour their guarantee", he said. "I've proved it".
