Church visits coming together

The gaps in the schedule are gradually filling up and thus far the itinerary suggests a planning hand (not mine !) I start in the north of England, proceed to Scotland, then descend through Wales via Leicester. There's just one untidy but very welcome sortie to South Wales between North of England and Scotland.

I now need to get that credit card sorted so I can book tickets and car.

Why do you need a credit card? I've never had one, only a debit card, and I've never had problems ordering through the Internet. Also, they charge you extra for using credit cards, not for using debit.

To hire a car. The mission warned me that a credit card would be necessary to hire a car and, sure enough, on the Easycar website it says you need a credit card.

Strangely you don't need to use it to pay, but I think they take the number as a kind of deposit when you hire the car.

Are you coming to Edinburgh?

Well I am definitely coming to Glasgow AND I should have a car. I have been in touch with our excellent Scottish Secretary and it MAY BE that some other appointments will be made. If not I would love to come over to Edinburgh - perhaps for the morning of that Sunday ?
