OK - phew - what a relief !

The estate agent has said that the Griffins can rent the house at Eysine.

They say they are taking a risk because:

a. they don't have all the papers that French people would normally have
b. they don't have a chequebook yet
c. they don't understand the documents in English,
d. they can't get in touch with the owners

so they are just going ahead.

They just need a copy of the Griffins' mortgage contract, which they will also not understand, and then the papers can be sent for them to sign and the etat des lieux will be done the day they arrive.

Whoopidoooooo !
