Bordeaux fête le fleuve

Bordeaux is celebrating the river at the moment. So when we took Revd Bryn and Betty Jones (former chairman of UFM and ex of Brazil) down for a Sunday afternoon stroll along the riverbank it was nice to see a couple of tall ships.

Say a big cheery and warm 'Hi' to Bryn and Betty for me. Rob and I have very fond memories of them and still remember tales of crocs on the River Amazon at Manaus, or somwhere like that. Eternity will reveal all the wonderful influences that people like that have had over their lifetime.

Whatever gives you that impression ?

Too many flies in your eyes, that's what I reckon, from high speed zooming round cow-infested country lanes.

Hello, Alan - my name is Michelle Ruebke. I am an American living in Kansas.

Our family have become very attached to a wonderful young French man named Vincent Quentin - he lives in Bordeaux.

Am I correct in understanding that you have an evangelical church in Bordeaux? We would very much like to find a good, Bible-teaching church that was culturally sentitive to refer Vincent to. Could you tell me about your ministry?

Merci beaucoup!

Hi Michelle

Three links on this page may help:

1) Eglise Baptiste de Caudéran - this church is quite near the center of Bordeaux, near the Parc Bordelais

2) Eglise Baptiste de Pessac - near the university campus

3) Eglise Réformée Evangélique de la Gironde. This is the church I belong to. The best thing to do if you want to put him in touch with us is to give me your email address in a comment. I'll reject the comment but email you with addresses and phone numbers.

Blessings

Alan
