Bordeaux sous la pluie

We have a young chap on placement here at the moment from ETCW. He's a Chinese speaker, and he will work with the Chinese.

He's staying in a hotel in the centre of town, so yesterday in the drizzle we showed him some of the essentials - where to get emergency food; where to get cheap pasta for next to nothing, etc.

And we showed him one or two of Bordeaux' sights.

Here is something that helps to bring home the reality of the second world war here. It's the memorial stone to the victims of Nazi anti-semitism 40 - 44, attached to the synagogue in Bordeaux.
