"Crapaud dans le trou"

It was toad in the hole for tea tonight. When I think of all you Brits who make your toad in the hole with sausages I have to say that it is a poor substitute.

Okay then, so what makes the French toad in the hole so superior? (I realise that if you listen to the French, everything they do is superior, a bit like being in Texas really except that with the French, it quite frequently is. Especially in matters cullinary.)

But tell me, please do, wherein lies the superiority, do they use real toads?
