Chassé-croisé

Saturday was the worst day of the year for the roads in France. The July holidaymakers wend their way home while the August holidaymakers set off boldly. France's toll motorways are a great strength and a great weakness. The strength is that the roads are well-maintained and cones are rare. The weakness is that at time of lots of traffic you get huge tailbacks at the tollgates.

So we stayed quietly at home and potched in the garden, planting on some plants and so on.
I also got ready for the Chinese meeting where I talked about Jesus' temptation, with YiHua as interpreter.
It was a nice, quiet day.
