New Year's Eve

We enjoyed a nice evening together at the church, with a sumptuous repast including a salad dressed with gesiers de poulet (look it up), canapés, quiche, chilli, beef bourguignon (French for boiled beef and carrots), cheese, tarte au chocolat, clafoutis (look it up), pain perdu, tiramisu, swiss rolls, etc.

The animation was provided by the kids, with awful jokes, riddles, a film music quiz, some musical items and several rounds of the parlour-game "Les Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux", with a brief meditation and prayer after the turn of the year.

Further entertainment was provided by the fire-engines and other emergency vehicles doing strange things in the car park opposite.
