Short status report

Nice gang for English. Things are building up slowly.

Preaching today - Ephesians 1 : 1 & 2. "Messenger of Grace and Peace"

Taking a short break from blogging soon.
Some American guy (Mark Driscoll ? Someone else ?) wrote recently on how he spent a week without laptop, phone or anything like that and how GREAT it was.

Well I ought to take a short break I suppose. So I shall. But not too long.

Wow !

Next time I have to embark on verses 3 - 14. I am totally undecided how to do that at present.

Do I do the big sentence in one foul sweep ?

Do I chop it up verse by verse ?

Do I chop thematically ?

I have 15 days to decide !

I was looking at verses 7-14, focusing on the redemption aspect.

It is one big, amazingly good sentence! John Stott's commentary on Ephesians is very good.

Yes. I like Stott, too.

I am torn between sucking the sentence slowly, bit by bit, or respecting the flow and going for it in one great big bang.
