My nephew is the youngest vicar in Wales, and he fancied seeing Sainte-Anne d'Auray with it's big basilica devoted to Brittany's patron saint, Anne, traditionally the mother of Mary. It's a shrine town.

We regretted not having a cream tea. It was probably the only good cup of tea available in Lorient that day and France knows of no clotted cream as far as I am aware. Still. We also regretted not having coats when the sky fell on our heads.

I made so many videos that it was hard to choose what to pop on the blog for you. Should I put the Scots bagpipers ? Should I put the Manx dancers or the Galicians that our big Dutch friend called the Pirates of the Caribbean ? In the end I chose the Bigoudennes and the folk following doing the typical Breton dance that  someone taught us - basically the arms do the locomotion and the feet do 1 2 3 pause 1 2 3 pause 1 2 3 pause.
