The chap on duty ( gwarchodwr ) in this first house was Breton. We spoke with him in a mix of French, Welsh and English. He says that Gwilym speaks French with no accent - just like a French lad would. (Catrin, being a little shy, didn't say much to him!)  

The Millennium Centre, the waterbuses and the Assembly building.  

and visited the Millennium Stadium _ here being prepared for a "Madona" concert. (I heard on the radio that she's 74, by the way) . 

and enjoyed the walk along the canal to collect one of their lads from school . 

The church runs a Christian bookshop which has recently expanded its repertoire to include cracking coffee in a friendly environment with good views of the high street. It's also a very good stationer.  

This is the new Mormon church. I am glad that it looks so American! A little bit of Utah right there in Penarlâg! Below you can see the Sunday evening Deeside congregation.

It was the weekend of the Burnham Carnival. Highlights: the band played the Posthorn Galop (that took me back!), the showjumping dogs were spectacular, Gwilym won the indian club balancing medal at the circus olympics, and it was good to see the police playing football with the local lads (they took their caps off but kept their flak jackets on) We worshipped at their (evangelical) parish church, where the teaching was on the fourth commandment.
