The assisted suicide bill

Our Western European countries are juggling with "the demographic time-bomb" - the massive population growth following WWII that slowed dramatically afterwards means that there are now too many old people and too few young. That's why "the pensions panic", "the immigration indecision", and so many other issues.

In this context am I cynical to view the assisted suicide bill with alarm? If so, I'm not the only one.
