Ascension Day
We get a bank holiday for Ascension Day.
And because it fell on a Thursday (today) we suggested to the teacher of the one class we have on Fridays (résumé, compte rendu, synthèse de textes) that we should move that class so we can do the bridge.
She thought that a capital idea, so the class was moved to Tuesday, and I missed it to go and baffle the taxman. :)

Do the bridge - take an extra day off when a bank holiday falls next to the weekend so as to have a long weekend. Generally you go away.
Do the viaduct - a really big bridge - like you sometimes get at Christmas or Easter.
