I don't know what this game was about

As New Year approached the pastor played the Westminster chimes on the piano and systematic kissing began. Everyone kissed everyone else with cries of "bonne année", "happy new year" and the occasional "blwyddyn newydd dda".

Then we ate dessert. (In Britain the New Year often begins with a diet, in France it begins with dessert).

Then we sang some songs and closed proceedings with prayer.

By this time our children had seriously wilted, and we had to take them home. This was somewhat unfortunate because the church room had to be got ready for the morning service, and this took till almost 3am. We got home at about 1:30. Most people were there for the 10:30 service. That's stamina! Posted by Picasa
