Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2006

Herewith is reproduced the substance of some recent correspondence. It speaks for itself:

Dear Alan,

I saved our last pack of Chocolate All-Bran for Christmas but we are a long way through the pack now. We agree that it is wonderful at any time of day. We do also have the original UK sort too and I noticed that while the UK product offers a "Feel Great in a Fortnight" challenge, All-Bran Chocolat offers "Bien-Etre Interieur 10 Jours." Clearly a superiour product!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have searched the packet to see if it offered me any guidance on the correct RDA for chocolate, always regarding that as a minimum of course.

Happy and chocolaty new year....

Hi esteemed correspondent,

Yes - as recent research has confirmed, the consumption of dark chocolate in combination with dietary fibre greatly increases its efficacy (by almost 30%!). This research suggests that 50g of finest quality chocolate be consumed daily, as a minimum. This must involve the augmentation of the All-Bran Chocolat with some other source of dietary chocolate. Preparations of chocolate which include orange, grapefruit or pears also, of course, contribute to the daily recommended consumption of fruit, bringing additional health benefits.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 2006, both of which goals are aided by the regular, moderate consumption of chocolate.
