les Davey de France

In 2005 Alan, Pat, Gwilym & Catrin Davey moved from North East Wales to Bordeaux. Alan is a pastor and Pat was a nurse. Now we work with UFM worldwide. Read on! (If you'd like to know what took us to Bordeaux, then start with the archives from September 2004)

There are questions one must not ask

Alan (coughing) : Do you think we'll ever breathe normally again ?

Pat (coughing) : Oh, I expect so one day.

Pat (coughing) adds : But one day you'll ask that question to a doctor and they'll say, 'No, I think this is the end, now'

Alan (coughing) : then I must NEVER ask that question of a doctor...

What is it about France? Our Grand-children were always ill when they lived there, usually asthma, - Orange is apparently built on what was in the past a marsh. Or, could it just be that you are a feeble, unhealthy lot?

Have you noticed how there is always a surfeit of sympathy??

I don't know if it's anything about France ! We think it's related to this bug we all had last week and the week before. And to our being a feeble, unhealthy lot, of course, as you so sympathetically observe !
