When it's quiet on the blog that's because it's NOT quiet in Bordeaux!
I hit the ground running when I got back. Tomorrow is the Assemblée Générale for the church - service at 10:30, followed by lunch, then by the meeting. We'd value your prayers for this meeting.
Today was the English class. I tried to illustrate some of the features of English from its history, that is that because it is a mixture of German and French origin words its spelling rules are complex and its vocabulary is rich. We read Gen 11 and Acts 2 afterwards and noticed especially words for surprise that were used - surprised, amazed, stunned, astonished, perplexed, etc...
Now that we've been here for two years and done our first reports to churches home it's time to do a bit of a stocktake - where we have come in two years, where we are now, where we hope to be in two years time. We may do this as a whole UFM Team exercise as well as just for the Daveys .
