A paradox, a most ingenious paradox, or False Economy

We buy Geant Casino loo-roll. It's wonderful stuff, impregnated with aloe vera, great for the nose when you have a cold. And one week it was on bogof (buy one get one free). We bought two packs and stacked them in the smallest room. And our looroll consumption ROCKETED ! At one point we were using a roll a day ! And there's only four of us !

So we hid all the loo-rolls except for one in use and one spare. Our consumption dropped to normal levels.

We have noted the same effect with super-size economy shampoo. The big bottle doesn't last much longer than the small one...

You have to be crafty in this game, don't you !

I think I have already mentioned that while in the UK people generally find a private teacher for their instrument, or do it through a school scheme, here there are municipal music school, conservatoires and so on. The Kitchen

 Our new apartment will be equipped with toilet and bathroom etc. but not with anything at all in the kitchen. Not even a sink. So we need to purchase a kitchen and engage a kitchen fitter. A friend who knows how to fit kitchens suggested buying an Ikea kitchen. "They're guaranteed twenty years and they honour their guarantee", he said. "I've proved it". Well I don't know any other kitchen laces in France, and I can't imagine there's much that's cheaper than Ikea, so I was happy to accept his advice.
