Concealing sin

Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Proverbs 10: 12 Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.

Proverbs 17:9 He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

From which I conclude that the godly man confesses his own faults and admits his own errors but covers over the errors of others as much as he can.
