In 2005 Alan, Pat, Gwilym & Catrin Davey moved from North East Wales to Bordeaux. Alan is a pastor and Pat was a nurse. Now we work with UFM worldwide. Read on! (If you'd like to know what took us to Bordeaux, then start with the archives from September 2004)

You're sweeping too fast ! Roger shows us how it is done.
Seem to recall my grandfather, an old seaman, would scatter water around to lay the dust, means you don't have to sweep where the dust has resettled. And yes, he would sweep slowly. Perhaps there is a spiritual application.
I'm a Christian worker currently attached to an evangelical reformed church in France. I studied biology then spent a happy decade or so working in computing many moons ago before becoming a happy pastor in North Wales. I am getting very old. I have a lovely, patient wife and two utterly gorgeous children.

Your grandfather was right to sweep slowly. Thank you for sharing this.
Although he was an old seaman and although I have heard of it before I have grave doubts about his practice of sprinkling water.
Roger showed us how it is done, and it did not entail effusions.
I think spiritual applications are manifold.
